How to Do It (Steps)
Use that simple but very efficient trick to boot you reading and comprehension of any text, book, article, lecture.
Preview (30 seconds to 2 minutes): Quickly scan headings or bold text.
Question (30 seconds to 2 minutes): Take your time to formulate 1–2 questions you want answered. Write them by hand on paper or in a notebook (digital or paper). It’s important to write manually and not use a keyboard. Don't worry about the quality or aesthetics of your writing; this note will be discarded at the end of the day.
Read (1 minute to 5 minutes ): Focus on key paragraphs.
Summarize (30 seconds to 5 minutes): Mentally restate the main idea along with all supporting details and components, and write them down in a notebook or on paper in a mind map format. It is important to write by hand!
Test (30 seconds to 5 minutes): Ask yourself if you can recall the core messages. Use the UCopilot if needed to help you verify and test.
